G. MICHAEL BURNETT is a partner at Schutt, Schmidt, Burnett & Noey. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Tulane University in 1984, and his J.D. from Loyola University in 1987. He was admitted to the Florida Bar in 1987 and the U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida and U.S. Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit, in 1988. From 1994 to 1997, Mr. Burnett served as a member and then Chairman of the Fourth Judicial Circuit Fee Arbitration Committee. From 1995 to 1998, he served as a member and then Chairman of the Fourth Judicial Grievance Committee. From 1998 to 2001, he served as a

member of the Florida Bar Code and Rules of Evidence Committee. In 1988 he served, with Howard C. Coker, as co-author of Gamesmanship and Strategies for Successful Use of Offers of Settlement and Judgment, a Florida Bar CLE Lecture Series. In 2000, he served as case law section author of Uninsured and Underinsured Motorist Law In Florida, NBI Lecture Series, 2000.

He is a Certified Mediator in Federal, Circuit and County Courts. His past legal experience includes: Coker, Myers, Schickel, Cooper & Sorenson, P.A., Jacksonville, 1987-1988; Taylor, Day, Currie & Burnett, P.A., 1988-1999; and Johnston, Hammond & Burnett, P.A., 1999-2002.
